Dr Celine Frere
I am a Senior Research Fellow based at the University of the Sunshine Coast. I'm an evolutionary biologist with a passion for social evolution and understanding how free-living animals evolve in human-impacted landscapes. I grew up in the countryside near Geneva in Switzerland and spent most of my time outdoors in nature.
I was awarded my PhD (UNSW) in late 2009 and prior to my commencement as a Research Fellow at USC, I held several post-doc positions at the University of Queensland and a lectureship at the Centre for Ecology and Conservation at the University of Exeter, UK.
I am particularly interested in incorporating an individual’s ecological landscape in our understanding of evolution.
I welcome opportunities for collaboration with researchers who hold complimentary research interests.
